Ally is a self-proclaimed adventurer from a different world than locations in the series including Primp Town or Pwurp Island. She believes that everything can be solved by using the power of love. Her catchphrase is "Let's fall in love together!" (「一緒に愛しあいましょう!」).
Biography
Appearance
Ally is a young girl with green eyes and orange hair that curls in the back. She appears to wear a somewhat elaborate mini dress or long sleeve shirt, mixing both dark and light shadings of green with a yellow pattern. She wears a necklace with a purple stone, known as the Pendant of Luwa. She wears yellow tights or leggings and green boots with stylized wing patterns.
Personality
Ally is generally an upbeat character, believing that love is the solution to all of life's problems. She's also a self-proclaimed adventurer. She's very mindful of her manners and quite polite, referring to others in a respectful manner until told otherwise, such as when she refers to Arle as the "Great Hero" until asked to stop.
She is obsessed with love and claims she can fall in love with anyone and anything. Her obsession is far-reaching as she is quickly enamored by other people's "intense loves". Like Sig's love for bugs or Rulue's love for Satan. However, her forwardness when it comes to matters of love leads to many misunderstandings like misreading Ringo's fear for ghosts as passion, and she can become overexcited at the prospect of love.
Abilities
Her magic is themed around love, using hearts or notes as a motif. Despite sharing a dropset with both skeletons, Ally's AI is capable of rotating Puyo, but doesn't play particularly well in Puyo Puyo Chronicle. In Puyo Puyo Champions, she can no longer rotate her Puyo. This could be related to the fact that the AI originally used by Onion Pixie and O is unused in Puyo Puyo Champions. However, in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, Ally's AI is on par with several final bosses like Marle, Ecolo, Satan, Ex, Squares, Rafisol, etc. which might stem from the status of being a secret character.
Relationships
- Arle
- Ally greatly admires Arle, due to the latter being prophesied as the Great Hero of her world. She acts as Arle's guide throughout Puyo Puyo Chronicle, showing her how to skill battle, as well as navigating between towns and areas for Arle and the rest of the party. While initially regarded as strange by Arle because of her forwardness, the two bond during the events of the story and consider themselves friends. However, in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, when she is met with Marle, she claims to have little knowledge of her, as stating that the name "sounds familiar". It is likely she has forgotten almost all of Arle's relations.
- Rafisol
- Rafisol was born from the power of Ally's love being absorbed into the Pendant of Luwa, an artifact that Ecolo brought from another world into Ally's world. Ally meets Rafisol in the Color Tower along with the other party members, where she attempts to dominate everything and absorb Ally's love into herself. In spite of these events, Ally deeply cares for Rafisol and can sense that Rafisol truly desires to fall in love, despite Rafisol's insistence that she is unable to experience such things.
- After the events in the Color Tower, Satan and Ecolo gift Rafisol the ability to exist independently outside of the pendant without needing to dominate everything, but she typically dwells inside the pendant to preserve her strength. Ally can be seen smiling at the pendant in the ending cutscene of the game, so it can be assumed that Ally views Rafisol as a friend.

Although she was properly introduced in Puyo Puyo Chronicle, which released on December 8th, 2016, she was first playable in Puyo Puyo!! Quest from a Story Quest event which began earlier in the year on September 12th.
Puyo Puyo Chronicle
Ally first debuted in Puyo Puyo Chronicle as a main character. She is a self-proclaimed adventurer in the book's world and serves as Arle's guide throughout the story, informing her of the Great Hero prophecy and guiding her throughout the towns. Towards the end of the game, Ally begins to feel weak due to an unknown force draining her power. At the top of the Color Tower, this force is revealed to be Rafisol, a being spawned from the Luwa Pendant and its love-draining powers.
After the party battles Rafisol, she attempts to steal Ally's love to keep herself from disappearing. Ally struggles, but with everyone's encouragement, the power of her love overpowers Rafisol and in doing so, she fills the world with her own love and fulfills the prophecy of the Great Hero herself. Rafisol's desire to fall in love had been transmitted to Ally and she extends her compassion to Rafisol, who still believes herself to be an evil existence lacking love. Ally then insists that love has no good or evil, but as long as Rafisol wishes to fall in love, then she can find it.
After Satan and Ecolo lend their power to Rafisol, she dwells within the Luwa Pendant which is kept in Ally's possession. The cutscene after the credits of the game show Ally and Rafisol smiling at one another, showing that they have become friends.
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2
Ally appears in the substory "Writing the Book on Love" of Chapter 6. Marle enlists Ally's aid in stopping Squares from erasing the other characters and even though Ally does not remember Arle, she willingly helps because Arle sounds familiar to her and she feels as though they had before. As the story progresses, Ally notices that Marle is rather down and cheers her up by proclaiming her love for her. She also gives Marle advice about her worries, saying that she could feel that Marle was worried about someone that she cared about very much and that the best way to help them would be to show them love.
