Quartet (カルテット, Karutetto) is a gameplay mode that appears in Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary, Puyo Puyo Chronicle, and Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop.

Gameplay

This mode is loosely based on Fever rules. This means that Nuisance Puyo won't drop until the player fails to make a chain, and character-specific dropsets are used. However there is no Fever. The main gimmick of this mode is that all Puyo dropped count as 4 pieces regardless of the piece type. However aside from that, all pieces function like normal, for example giant Puyo will still rotate between every available color.

5 colors.

Very Hard

5 colors and slightly increased falling speed.

All Clearing

After performing an All Clear, a 4-chain will drop onto the board.
