Onion Pixie is an onion-headed oni. He speaks in an unintelligible tongue featuring the word "onion" excessively. In Puyo Puyo Fever 2, He seems to be upset by Oniko's crush on Sig. In Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary, however, he has successfully won her heart, and considers himself her exclusive bodyguard. Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary reveals through thought bubbles that he refers to himself as a "hard-boiled tough guy" and hates it when anyone describes him as "cute".

Biography

Appearance

Onion Pixie is a small oni with an onion for a head. He wears a tiger-print cloth and carries a iron club with spikes on it, two common traits in depictions of oni. His eyes are small, round, and white, and he is rarely seen smiling.

Personality

Onion Pixie strives to become tough and strong, and engages in Puyo battle to meet his goals. His motivation for doing so is that he can bravely protect his girlfriend, Oniko. As such, he hates being underestimated, and will become very angry if he is called cute.

Abilities

Onion Pixie carries an iron club that he uses in battle. Most of his techniques involving swinging his club in some fashion.

Lidelle

As Lidelle frequently visits the Nahe Woods, she often plays with him and Donguri Gaeru.

Oniko

Onion Pixie has a crush on Oniko, and tries his hardest to protect her. In Puyo Puyo Fever 2, Oniko ends up infatuated with Sig, which greatly upsets Onion Pixie. As of Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary, the two are an official couple, with Oniko appearing in Onion Pixie's spell animations.

Sig

Onion Pixie dislikes Sig and thinks that he wants to steal Oniko to be his girlfriend, even though Sig can't understand either of them.

It is unknown if the Puyo Puyo Fever and Puyo Puyo Chronicle Onion Pixies are the same as the one from Fever 2, 15th Anniversary, and 20th Anniversary that appears in Tetris.

Puyo Puyo Fever

He is the first opponent of the HaraHara Course. He pokes Raffina from behind, which irritates her enough to engage him in a Puyo match.

Puyo Puyo Fever 2

Onion Pixie appears only in Amitie and Sig’s WakuWaku courses, being the first opponent in both courses. In Amitie’s story, she encounters Onion Pixie in the woods and asks him to let her pass, much to his discomfort. After Amitie backs him into a corner, the provoked Onion Pixie suddenly attacks her, leading to the first fight. In Sig’s story, he encounters Onion Pixie while looking for Amitie, asking him to move, when Oniko appears and is suddenly infatuated with the boy. This upsets Onion Pixie, prompting him and Sig to fight.

Puyo Puyo Tetris

Onion Pixie is not a playable character, but he and Oniko make a cameo in one of Schezo's stages during the story mode. O has his dropset and AI.

Puyo Puyo Chronicle

Onion Pixie is recruited near the end of the story: Arle and her team have to battle a whole group of other Onion Pixies as well. He is only available in Skill Battle and story mode, but like Donguri Gaeru and Lagnus the Brave, he is mandatory to beat the game. He comes at Level 65.

• His Japanese name is portmanteau of Oni which means demon or ogre, and Onion.
• Materials in Japan that require a romanization of the character's name use "Onion Pixie" despite the fact that the "Pixie" is never included in his hiragana name.
• Like Dapper Bones, Onion Pixie never rotates his Puyo, except in Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary.
