Succubus is a whip-wielding narcissistic demon. True to her name, she attempts to seduce men, namely Schezo Wegey.

History

Madou Monogatari series

Succubus debuted as a randomly-occurring enemy in Madou Monogatari ARS, being exclusive to Schezo's story. She also appears as an enemy in the Saturn Madou Monogatari.

Pocket Puyo Puyo~n

While she is not playable in any version of Puyo Puyo~n, Succubus makes a cameo appearance in the intro of the GBC version. She whips Zoh Daimaoh as part of a circus act.

Puyo Puyo Box

Succubus appears in Box's Scramble mode, utilizing Puyo Puyo rule. She is notably the only character to appear in Scramble mode that is neither fought in the first four mainline Puyo Puyo games nor is derived from a character that is fought in said games. In the Quest mode, she is a random encounter in the last main dungeon.

Trivia

Despite a heavy visual redesign in Puyo Puyo!! Quest that could suggest that this Succubus is an entirely different character from Compile's Succubus (as is the case with Quest's Gorgon versus Compile's Gorgon), Quest's Succubus is listed alongside the main series characters in Puyo Puyo 25th Anniversary Book and the icon menu in Puyo Puyo eSports and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2.
Puyo Puyo Artwork Collection features several concept designs for the Sega incarnation of Succubus, one of which is a more faithful adaptation of her Madou Monogatari (Saturn) design.
