Biography

Personal History

At the age of sixteen, she defeated Dark Matter when he attempted to take over the world. Fifty years later, Dark Matter returned from the dead to haunt Wish and and took control of her body as revenge.

Appearance

Wish has long, silver hair and blue eyes. When under Dark Matter's influence, her eyes turn red. Her apparel is similar to Witch, but it is a darker blue and she wears more jewel accessories. Her hat is also longer and has a tassel at the end, unlike Witch's. Despite her age, Wish does not look much older than Witch.

Personality

Not much is known about Wish's personality, though she seems to be a strict mentor to her granddaughter, but wants her to succeed nonetheless.

Relationships

Dark Matter
As Wish defeated Dark Matter 50 years ago, he harbors strong animosity towards Wish and returned to haunt her long after his death.
Witch
Wish is Witch's grandmother and was overseeing Witch's certification exam during Madou Monogatari: Tower of the Magician. Witch seems to admire and look up to her grandmother as she frequently references Wish's recipe book in modern Puyo Puyo games.

Trivia

  • Her name, in addition to implying her supposedly benevolent personality, may also be a pun on the Japanese pronunciation of "Witch".
  • She is referenced occasionally by Witch in modern games, though never by name.
  • Wish's youthful appearance is explained before the player meets her when Witch mentions that witches use their magic to maintain eternal youth and beauty. Accord claims the exact same about sorcerers in Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary, which thus can be interpreted as a case of a newer game indirectly referencing an older one.
