Puyo Puyo!! Quest information | |
Nohoho is a recurring character in the Madou Monogatari and Puyo Puyo series. He is a traveling merchant frog, trying to sell to anyone he comes across. He also smuggles curry, and is often seen eating it, even during a heated Puyo battle. Arle often runs across him and they usually fight over something silly, such as buying an item. Nohoho always stacks Puyos at the right side, which either gets him big chains, or makes him lose quicker. His AI's playstyle was adapted by Dongurigaeru, another frog character and Nohoho's equivalent in the Puyo Puyo Fever series.
He owns the Nohoho RuneSack, which is apparently very dear to him and contains a variety of objects.
History
Madou Monogatari series
Nohoho debuts as one of the shopkeepers in Episode II of Madou Monogatari 123, appearing in Schezo's Dungeon. He shares a similar naming convention to fellow merchants Momomo and Yoyoyo.
Puyo Puyo Tsu
He is one of the opponents on the second floor.
In the SNES version, Nohoho may appear in the Beginner Course after defeating Zombie (the Banshee Trio in Super Puyo Puyo Tsu Remix) if the player has not used any continues. Nohoho, disguised in sunglasses and hat, mistakes Arle for Muhoho, who is going to receive a large amount of the plates of curry and rice. Arle corrects him, only to leading him declare her a Puyo match.
Puyo Puyo SUN
He is the fifth opponent of Arle's course. When they encounter, Nohoho eats curry, and it is here that his allergy to curry is revealed.
Puyo Puyo~n
He is the sixth opponent in the game, and the first in the Water stage. In the Game Boy Color version, he is in the same opponent set as Archan and Seriri.
Puyo Puyo Box
In addition to the standard Nohoho, Box contains a more powerful version named Muhoho. Normally, Nohoho is found in the shop at the second town in Quest mode, and can be fought with either SUN or Yon rules depending on if he's wearing pants or not in Scramble mode.
Minna de Puyo Puyo
Nohoho appears as the boss of Gold Town and as an opponent in Trial Labyrinth. He is always fought with the Point Puyo rule and 3 colors only.
Puyo Puyo!! Quest
Nohoho is a green card in this game. He shares his series, and thus has similar stats and skills to the following: Oniko, Momomo, Parara, and Will-o-Wisp.
