Rafisol is a dark entity born from Ally's pendant, the Pendant of Luwa. According to Ecolo who brought the pendant from another universe, it absorbs love power from its wearer and produces an evil being. Rafisol serves as the main antagonist of Puyo Puyo Chronicle. She shares Ally's likeness, but her palette is inverted from her counterpart. She is a being of pure dark magic that does not understand her existence.

Biography
Appearance
Rafisol is very similar to Ally, but with shuffled and inverted colors and sharper hair. The trim on her dress is also different, as opposed to Ally's soft scallop trim, Rafisol has sharper edges.
Personality
Initially, Rafisol is introduced as a dark and unfeeling existence whose sole purpose is to take everything. When she is defeated by the group, she becomes desperate to cling onto her existence and attempts to seize Ally's power to make up for what she has lost. After Arle, Amitie, and Ringo save Ally, Ally communicates to Rafisol that she could feel Rafisol's desire to fall in love, and truly did not want her to disappear.
Rafisol struggles to express her emotions and feels that as she is an evil existence, she should not feel happiness or be helped by Ally and the rest of the party. This is especially true for Ally as she expresses regret during post-game at hurting Ally, and is confused as to why Ally still wishes to befriend her in spite of that. She also has a tendency to be narrow-minded, such as thinking that consuming or absorbing things into herself is the answer to everything.
Abilities
In Puyo battles, the theme of her spells seems to be pragmaticism. She uses Hide, Snatch, Take Over, Domination, and Disorder to best her foes. She is particularly capable at playing Puyo, doing so on par with other final bosses such as Satan, Carbuncle, and Ecolo: even without Core AI, if Quick Drop is an option in the current game mode, she will always use it.
Relationships
- Ally
- Rafisol was born from the power of Ally's love being absorbed into the Pendant of Luwa, and is redeemed by Ally even after Rafisol attempts to steal her power for herself. The two are friends by the end of the game as indicated by the post-credits scene where Rafisol smiles up at Ally from within the pendant.
- Ecolo
- Ecolo was the one who brought the Luwa Pendant into Ally's world and was aware of the Pendant of Luwa's ability to spawn an evil being when it absorbed love. After the final battle in the Color Tower, he and Satan grant Rafisol the ability to sustain her existence without needing to absorb everything into herself. Ecolo specifically gives her the ability to retreat into the pendant in order to preserve her strength.
History
Puyo Puyo Chronicle
Rafisol makes her first appearance in the Tower of Color. Throughout the Tower of Color, Ally is shown to be in some sort of pain, but Ally brushes it off and tells Arle that she's fine, this is hinted to be Rafisol beginning to break free of the pendant. Near the top, Rafisol speaks to the party twice, the first time she questions her existence, the second time she warns that soon she will "End Everything" once Arle's party reaches the summit of the tower, using all the magic gathered in the tower. She does not show herself, due to still being in the pendant, leaving the party confused as to where the voice is coming from. Once Arle and her party reaches the top of the Tower of Color, Ally stops and gasps in pain, making the entire party notice and wonder what's hurting her, Ally finally admits to being in pain and says it's from her pendant. A flash of white emits from the pendant and Rafisol breaks free from Ally's pendant. Amitie is the first to notice Rafisol and points her out to everyone else. After exposition from Ecolo, Arle and her party challenges Rafisol to a puyo battle, in which she loses. After the battle, Rafisol resists and begins to take control of Ally, attempting to drain all of Ally's power. However, with the help of Arle and the party, Ally breaks free of Rafisol's control and returns Rafisol to Ally's pendant. In the post-credits scene, we see Rafisol inside Ally's pendant, and it's implied Ally has managed to teach Rafisol about love.
Rafisol is seen again in her post-game Master Quest, where she is tasked to have a Puyo battle overflowing with love while smiling. She claims to be able to do it on her own, and attempts to refuse Ally's offers to battle with her as Rafisol feels that they have no connection with one another. Ally eventually persuades Rafisol to battle with her, and her Master Quest is completed. This initially confuses the others as she did not smile during the battle, but after she leaves, Ally concludes that Rafisol must have smiled in her heart even if she did not physically smile.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2
Rafisol is a downloadable character in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 in the February 4, 2021 update to honor 30 years of the series along with Yu and Rei, Strange Klug, and Serilly.
Trivia
- Alternate voice notes:
- In Puyo Puyo Chronicle, she sounds higher-pitched and emotional. The voice pitch is similar to that of Feli in Puyo Puyo Tetris.
- In Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, she sounds much more intense and villain-like. In Japanese, it resembles Lemres' alternate voice, while in the English dub, it bears resemblance to Rulue's voice.
- Rafisol was the first character from main Puyo series (excluding the alternate costumes from Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary except Possessed Klug) in Puyo Puyo!! Quest that do not have any single color card. As of December 2020, she now shares this distinction with Marle and Squares.
- As of August 2021, she now has a single colour card.
- Rafisol lacked any art in the traditional Puyo Puyo style until the release of Volume 2 of the Puyo Puyo LINE stickers in September 2017, nearly a year after the release of Puyo Puyo Chronicle.
- She only received full body art in that style upon her inclusion in Puyo Puyo!! Quest.
- Both of the artworks used for her in Puyo Puyo Champions are from Quest. As a result, she is the only character in the game to lack a third piece of artwork.
- Rafisol is the only character in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 whose English voice lines are taken directly from Puyo Puyo Champions.
