Mizuki Hosoyamada (細山田 水紀, Hosoyamada Mizuki) is the producer of the Puyo Puyo series. His first major role was as the director of Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary and since then, he has been a major producer of the games, ports, and soundtrack releases.
Biography
Hosoyamada's interest in Puyo Puyo began when he would play Puyo Puyo and Puyo Puyo Tsu casually at gaming corners in hotels and hot springs.[1] He began working with Sega in 2002 and joined Sonic Team in 2003.[2]
The first title he worked on was as the director and producer of Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary.[3] When working on Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary, he said that he joined the project when the initial proposal still needed some work, and he stepped up as the director of the game and managed to wrap things up in six months for the game's release.[4]

Trivia
- When he first graduated and began working at Sega, he made significant contributions to the game Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg and was in charge of the Egg Animals, two stages, two bosses, and the Joy Carry mode.[4]
