Originally kept as an untold secret, her true identity is in fact a princess from a royal family, traveling far away to various locations for the sake of her kingdom. Ciel as she appears in Puyo Puyo Champions.

Korean: 시엘 (Siel) / Chinese: 希耶爾 (Xīyéěr) / Russian: Циел (Ciel)
JP Voice: Natsumi Yamada / EN Voice: Erica Lindbeck (Unconfirmed)

Ciel (シエル) is the treasurer of the student council of Light Academy, a school of angels. She is almost robotic in nature, being able to provide an answer for almost every question, has an immunity to tricks and lies thanks to her near-perfect memory and is excessively punctual. She does however seem to care for others, feeling honoured when others find her work helpful, and hopes for the player to not take the wrong path during a Quest. She is overly self confident, believing that her calculations are never wrong. In her ★6 and ★7 cards, she starts to try to smile and express herself more. She starts partaking in and enjoying conversations more, but remains expressionless and hates small talk. She notices that conversing with others actually helps her own efficiency. The ★6 of her Holy Night version reveals that her expression does change when she is surprised.

Legamünt

Legamünt, as he appears in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2.

Korean: 레가문트 / Chinese: 雷格姆特
JP Voice: Yuuki Ishikari / EN Voice: Christian La Monte

Legamünt (レガムント) is a member of the Heavenly Knights, localized as the holy knighthood in the English version of Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, but prefers to work separately from the rest. He believes that cooperation will not lead to anything good, with the only one he trusts being himself. He is considered very powerful, with his AI in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 being on par with final bosses like Satan, Ecolo or Carbuncle, but some of his voiceclips suggest that he laments his own mistakes. His ★7 Card in Puyo Puyo Quest hints that his solitude stems from past trauma, wanting to be alone rather than losing someone he trusts.

Appearances

Trivia

  • Legamünt's Japanese alternate voice in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 has him speaking in a less forceful tone and sounds similar to Maguro's alternate voice in Puyo Puyo Chronicle.
    • His English alternate voice has more youthful voice, resembling Sonic's voice.
  • Legamünt is the first character to appear in an English release of a Puyo Puyo game whose name contains a diacritic (U with an umlaut).
  • Christian La Monte, Legamünt's English voice actor, also served as the voice director for the dub.

Character profile

See the respective PPQ-namespace card pages of Legamünt for the character's in-game description in Puyo Puyo!! Quest.

Paprisu

Paprisu, as it appears in Puyo Puyo Champions.

Paprisu (パプリス Papurisu) are mischievous creatures that live on Pwurp Island. They always wear colored headgear that is shaped after Paprikas, that is apparently well made. In Puyo Puyo Quest, they are commonly used as enemies during Quests. There exist a lot of variants of them, with new variants usually being made for collaborations. The Paprisu that made it into Puyo Puyo Champions is a basic red one. Red Paprisu think very highly of their kind and obsess over the color red. They have an intense rivalry with Blue Paprisu, even calling them mean while pretending to not be mischievous themsleves, and think of the color blue as tacky. Paprisu was added to Champions in a free update that released on August 24, 2020 alongside Rafisol. For some reason, Paprisu's AI is on par with several Final Bosses like Satan, Carbuncle, Rafisol, etc. which might stem from the status of being a secret character.

In Puyo Puyo Champions, Paprisu can be selected by inputting a simple button combination that varies depending on the platform.

Platform Combination
Switch R + Y
PS4 R1 + Square
Xbox RB + X
Keyboard P + R

Trivia

  • Despite being capable of speech in Puyo Puyo Quest, the Paprisu in Champions is only capable of saying "Papuu", in a similar vein to Carbuncle.

Penglai, as he appears in Puyo Puyo Champions.

JP Voice: Shuugo Nakamura / EN Voice: Edward Bosco (Unconfirmed)

Penglai (ホウライ Hourai) is a half-dragon and half-human playboy. He always dances as he pleases, and has a very carefree personality that some find endearing. His carelessness can make him unreliable and sometimes can get him into trouble, like carelessly spending his money. He relies on others to get him out of trouble when he finds himself in it, saying that is the smart way to live, and generally enjoys the company of others. He is particularly capable of dancing, not only serving for the entertainment of himself and others, but also as a technique to evade his opponent's attacks.

Rozatte

Rozatte, as he appears in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2.

Korean: 로자티 / Chinese: 羅傑提
JP Voice: Shuusaku Shirakawa / EN Voice: Erica Harlacher (Unconfirmed)

Rozatte (ローザッテ) is a teacher of sorts to apprentice warlocks. He keeps his personal life a secret. He possesses great intellect and is very gentle and polite, but he speaks more emphatically during hands-on practical training. Since he wishes not to interfere directly, he has difficulty watching his students struggle with their studies. He can be a strict teacher as revealed in his ★6 Santa Mentor Rozatte card. According to his description in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, he's always concerned about the wellbeing of his students but sometimes asks too much of them because of his own natural talents. He carries around a small ghost-like familiar with a blue cloak and a single blue eye. It can cover itself with electricity, and Rozatte uses it in his spell animations.

Appearances

Trivia

  • Rozatte's alternate voice in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 has him speaking in a more youthful and casual tone, resembling Squares' Japanese alternate voice.
  • Rozatte bears multiple similarities to Accord. Both are magic teachers, have very skilled AI, and have kind but mysterious personalities. They also both default to Tetris in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2.
  • Rozatte's name was originally translated as Rosette in Puyo Puyo Champions, where he was present as a player icon. This name was changed back to Rozette when he was added to Puyo Puyo Tetris 2.

Sultana

Sultana, as she appears in Puyo Puyo Champions.

Korean: 술탄 (Sultan) / Chinese: 斯露塔娜 (Sīlùtǎnà)
JP Voice: M・A・O (Mao Ichimichi) / EN Voice: Lauren Landa (Unconfirmed)

Sultana (スルターナ) is a demon who was sealed away within the magic amethyst that she wears on her head a long time ago. Ever since she obtained an aura of nobility, she made multiple generations of people obey her with respect without even realizing it, making her known as the „Djinni of Nobility“. Ever since then, she felt like she is unable to show her true colors, and speaks peculiarly to make up for the fact that she doesn't know how to speak formally and live up to her title.
