Puyo Puyo!! Quest information

Morolians are a species of mysterious, dancing alien-like creatures that serve as the mascots for Space Channel 5, another franchise developed and published by Sega. Their only physical Puyo Puyo appearance is in Puyo Puyo!! Quest, where they were first introduced as obtainable cards on October 28, 2019 during the Space Channel 5 Collab. However, they appear in multiple non-collaboration stories, being the only collab characters in the game to do so. This could suggest that they are relevant the Universe of Puyo Puyo in some way.

Additionally, a Puyo Skin themed after Morolians has made an appearance in most Puyo Puyo games from Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary onwards.

History

Puyo Puyo!! Quest

Five differently-colored Morolians appear in the mobile game Puyo Puyo!! Quest, corresponding to the five main Puyo colors. They are said to be from the far ends of the galaxy. They speak with high-pitched, distorted voices and often say "Moro", with some only being able to speak in this manner, similarly to Carbuncle.

Morolians make their first appearance in Chapter 2 of PuyoQuest 7!? World, where a blue Morolian is present at Puyo Puyo 7's Area 51. Similarly to the former game's plot, Ringo and friends must gather energy by battling 7 opponents at the 7 Wonders of the World. This Morolian serves as the opponent at Area 51, in lieu of Satan in Puyo Puyo 7. It is only able to communicate by saying "Moro".

A red Morolian also appears in the story Encounter with Uldoradd. It is met in Space after the members of the Parascience Institute are teleported there. It also only speaks by going "Moro".
