Mars, the Heavenly Knight of Unspoiltness, is one of the knights tasked with maintaining order in the heavens. He is an extremely kind and good-natured person who doesn't hesitate to stand up for others. However, this kindness occasionally creates problems, such as leading him to be too trusting or open towards other people. He is outspoken, but can also be quick to jump to conclusions. This, coupled with his general airheadedness, often creates misunderstandings and leads to him to be endearing, yet a little socially awkward. He feels confident in telling whether or not someone is a good person just by a glance. His weapon of choice is a spear called Üldözlek (ウルドーラ).
Trivia
- Due to some of his in-game story appearances and alternate costumes, Mars is often associated with Paprisu.
- "Üldözlek" is Hungarian for "chasing".

Yuri, the Heavenly Knight of Loyalty, is one of the knights tasked with maintaining order in the heavens. While he is normally peaceful and amicable, he has no tolerance for evil, and will go to through great strain to punish adversaries. His extreme sense of justice and resolve can come across as cold-hearted to those unfamiliar with him, but he is kind and truly devoted to his knightly duties, to the extent that he takes shame in allowing others to help him. When he was a young apprentice knight, Yuri was extremely headstrong and persistent despite his lack of skill, even going so far as to defy orders from his superiors. He hints that he withholds his true strength, but according to others he will still sometimes act recklessly. According to him, he usually leads the charge when with the other Heavenly Knights. He wields the sword Lassnach (ラーズナーク).
Yuri struggles with a violent incident that occured in the ancient past, when he was still an apprentice knight. This past is shared with Legamünt, and as a result of the events that occured, he and Legamünt have drifted apart. Yuri thinks that Legamünt rightfully believes him to be cruel. While the full details of what happened are unknown, some events are chronicled through Substory 5 of Return to PuyoQuest World.
Yuri's Past
Yuri's past, which is said to be ancient, is written of in a magic book created by Ragnhild through the accounts of the plants and spirits of Pwurp Island. In a time where he and Legamünt were apprentice knights, a great evil was on the verge of blanketing the world in darkness. With things looking grim, and Yuri and Legamünt worrying about their inexperienced trainee knights in the upcoming battle, the two create a last-ditch plan; Before the darkness returned, Legamünt would splinter off in search of the legendary Holy Sword, and Yuri would take control of their troops to retreat towards a meeting point. Though, for unknown reasons, Yuri instead decides to ignore the orders to retreat. Their unit, however, is found attacked by the dark forces, resulting in tragedy. They also get caught in a snowstorm, and Yuri expresses regret towards the decision he made.
Trivia
- Ragnhild's book recounting Yuri's past refers to him as Wing Blue (ツバサブルー).
- Heavenly-knight Reminisce Yuri, Yuri's younger self, is described as the "Heavenly Knight of Loyalty and Idealism". Yuri's older form removes the mention of Idealism.
- Due to his past, Yuri expresses a sense of trepidation towards snow.
- Yuri inherited his wings from his parents.
- "Lassnach" is derived from German "lässt nach", meaning "abate" or "subside".

Hartmann, the Heavenly Knight of Syntropy, is one of the knights tasked with maintaining order in the heavens. He acts distant and prefers not to talk much about himself to others. While his self-confidence can make him appear boastful, he actually carries a lot of strength as well as influence. He finds strategizing bothersome and prefers to diffuse critical situations using brute force. He prefers to work at his own pace, disliking needing to accomodate for other people, but he still cares for his fellow knights. He is described as impatient and occasionally neglects some of his knightly duties. He is usually looking for ways to slack off instead of working. He carries Regole (レギオーレ), an arsenal of 12 shortswords.
He appears as a playable character in Puyo Puyo Champions.

Emilia, the Heavenly Knight of Encouragement, is one of the knights tasked with maintaining order in the heavens. Her peppy and emphatically outgoing personality tends to intimidate others. She's well-known by others for her grueling and rigorous "special training", during which she often overlooks peoples' boundaries or physical limits in the name of pursuing strength due to her headstrong nature. Her pep talks are extremely effective at encouraging those around her. She views losing heart and abandoning anything midway through to be unacceptable, and she instantly respects anyone who can match her level of sheer perseverence. She also has a passion for weaponry. Her weapon of choice is a battleaxe called Hécatolithe (エカトリーチェ).

Viola, the Heavenly Knight of Expertise, is one of the knights tasked with maintaining order in the heavens. She has a polite and tomboyish disposition that makes her very popular to those around her. She has a very distinct accent due to being raised in the countryside, and this accent is at odds with her kindly appearance. Despite her apparent country upbringing, she likes to think that she's become more refined since leaving her hometown. She has no confidence in her sense of fashion, but she's confident in her ability to accurately identify various flora. She speaks fondly of the folks back at her hometown. She wields Nyelvjárás (ニールバルツ), a lance and a shield.
Trivia
- Viola's weapon, Nyelvjárás, can only be wielded by those who are pure of heart.
- It is unclear if the name Nyelvjárás refers to the lance, the shield, or both.
- She speaks in a Tōhoku dialect.
- Her dialogue suggests she greatly enjoys natto, a Japanese dish.
- Viola shares a name with Viola, a Devilling from Puyo Puyo!! Quest Arcade.
- Ironically, one of them is angellic while the other is a devil.
- "Nyelvjárás" is Hungarian for "dialect".

Legamünt, the Heavenly Knight of Isolation, is one of the knights tasked with maintaining order in the heavens, although he chooses to work separately from the other 5. He is easily the strongest of the Heavenly Knights, but he is shrouded in mystery and few know anything about him. He wields the Holy Sword, a blade only heard of in myths, which chose Legamünt as its wielder. He has a cool and collected personality, but appears to be a very sentimental person, as his words always seem deep and heavy. He has no interest in getting along with anyone, believing that its pointless to put your faith in others and that teamwork is a detriment, only trusting himself. In truth, he claims to have made a mistake in his past which haunts him to this day, and he chooses to be alone in fear of losing anyone close to him or repeating the mistake he made.
He shares this traumatic past with Yuri; He refers to his past self as a coward, lamenting that he wasn't as decisive as Yuri was, and part of him wishes to return to that time. What exactly happened in their pasts is unknown, though details have been unveiled through Substory 5 of Return to PuyoQuest World. He still seems to harbor some respect for the other Heavenly Knights, as he sometimes appears watching over them. However, he is also shown to intentionally avoid them on occasion.
He appears as a playable character in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2's DLC.
Legamünt's Past
His past, which is said to have taken place in ancient times, is recounted in a book Ragnhild wrote by gathering information from the spirits and flora of Pwurp Island. In a time where he and Yuri were apprentice knights, a darkness was threatening to consume the world. With the odds being stacked hopelessly against them, and Yuri and Legamünt being concerned about the safety of their inexperienced trainee knights, the two create a plan to turn the tides of war; Before the next battle, Yuri would take their troops to retreat towards a meeting point, and Legamünt would travel to find the Holy Sword, a legendary blade hidden somewhere in the boundary between the heavens and Earth. Legamünt is able to find the Holy Sword, and having been deemed worthy by the Sword itself, returns to their meeting point before sundown, confident that the blade's power can save the world. However, he finds that Yuri and the remaining Heavenly Knights have abandoned the meeting point, which Legamünt takes to mean that Yuri lacked any faith in him finding and being chosen by the Holy Sword.
Trivia
- Ragnhild's book recounting Legamünt's past refers to him as Wing Silver (ツバサシルバー).
- Heavenly-knight Reminisce Legamünt, Legamünt's younger self, is described as the "Heavenly Knight of Destiny and Idealism".
- Legamünt is an incredibly skilled yakisoba chef.
- Supposedly, he was at one point cursed by a yakisoba spirit. It's unclear if the curse was ever lifted.
- With his skills, he serves yakisoba at a café on Pwurp Island.
- His strength is evidenced by his AI in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 being on par with final bosses like Satan, Ecolo and Carbuncle.
- Legamünt's Japanese alternate voice in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 has him speaking in a less forceful tone and sounds similar to Maguro's alternate voice in Puyo Puyo Chronicle.
- His English alternate voice has more youthful voice, resembling Sonic's voice.
- Legamünt is the first character to appear in an English release of a Puyo Puyo game whose name contains a diacritic (U with an umlaut).
- Christian La Monte, Legamünt's English voice actor, also served as the voice director for the dub.
- During Puyo Puyo!! Quest's 11th Anniversary popularity poll, Legamünt ranked as the 4th most popular yellow card.
- While Legamünt's weapon is referred to as the Holy Sword, the other Heavenly Knights' skill names in Puyo Puyo!! Quest are named after their weapons. Legamünt, however, has two skill names: Caliburnus (カリブルヌス) and Caladcholg (カラドコルグ). The significance of these names to the Holy Sword is not known. Caliburnus was his debut skill.
- Legamünt's other spells in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 reference other legendary swords.
- Gram is a godlike sword from Norse mythology appearing in several legends.
- "Cruaidin" is derived from "Cruaidín Catutchenn", the shining sword of the Irish demigod Cú Chulainn.
- Lævateinn is an unknown weapon created by the god Loki in Norse mythology.
