The Magic Tower is the setting in each version of Madou Monogatari I. It is a tall tower that consists of multiple floors containing many puzzles, traps, and illusion monsters in which students that attend Magic Kindergarten must traverse and complete a specific challenge while inside, such as collecting three magic orbs, in order to pass their exam and graduate from kindergarten. Passing a written test is required first in order for students to qualify to take the exam inside the tower.
Appearance
The outside of the Magic Tower varies slightly between its appearances, but is typically depicted as a tall stone or brick structure with multiple windows surrounding each floor and a large door with steps leading up to the entrance.
Inhabitants
While the Tower mostly contains various monsters, some friendly characters including merchants selling their items also appear depending on the game version as well.
