Steam City ( 蒸気都市 Jōkitoshi) is a steampunk city from an alternate dimension that appears in Puyo Puyo!! Quest.
Appearance
Steam City is a highly industrialized city where most day to day apparatuses are powered by steam. The steam produced by the city is so thick that it's difficult to see the sky.[1] There appear to be high walls surrounding the city that are closely guarded, so few inhabitants feel the need to venture beyond the city's borders. The tallest and oldest building in the city is the clock tower, which is the only building that does not utilize steam power.
History
Steam City was first introduced in 2019 when Puyo Puyo!! Quest introduced the Steam City card series. More characters have been added to this dimension over time, often accompanied with small story vignettes.
Background
240 years ago there was an incident known as the "Steam Shock" that led to the widespread usage of steam-powered devices. Steam City Risukuma and Steam City Strange Klug are the two characters that recall the time before the Steam Shock.[1][2]
