Not to be confused with the Outlander Warlock series.

The Warlock series (魔法使い) are a series of 6 characters introduced in Puyo Puyo!! Quest. The 6th member, Rozatte, was introduced later as part of the the 2017 Year-End Fest Event. The apprentice warlocks live together and learn magic at an unnamed school under the wing of their teacher, Rozatte.

In the main story of Puyo Puyo!! Quest, the apprentice warlocks temporarily study at "Warlock Academy" (魔法アカデミー), founded by their teacher Rozatte. The academy is hidden away, only found by passing through a gate only Warlocks are able to see, and is said to be the place that the best of the best Warlocks who wish to study magic will gather. A barrier surrounds the school, created by Rozatte.

Albert

Albert is an apprentice warlock who utilizes fire magic through his fire familiar. He is responsible, honest and thoughtful. Albert always keeps a close eye on and worries for his younger siblings and classmates. He enjoys cooking for others, and dreams of becoming a chef. Despite his responsible nature, he sometimes falters- like when he impulsively cast the spell that allowed the Outlander Warlocks to travel to Pwurp Island. He uses a staff to use magic alongside his Flame Ghost familiar.

Trivia

In addition to his cooking skills, he's skilled enough in general handiwork that he can repair musical instruments.
He speaks informally in Japanese.
He frequently cooks for his classmates, and has made food for Professor Rozatte on occasion.
Like the rest of the Warlocks, his ★4 art shows him with an item that's connected to his skills. In his case, he has mushrooms and a sack of produce, likely for cooking with.
He received a brooch from Sullivan during the Christmas Party Gift Exchange.
His transformation material, the Red Herb, is his signature ingredient in potion-making.

Rozatte is the apprentice warlocks' friendly yet strict teacher in magic studies. He is a gentle and conscientious instructor, an he is willing to teach anyone and everyone who has an interest in learning. He is said to be quite intelligent. Sullivan remarks that he has a playful side to him as well.

He is a kind teacher and cares deeply for his students, taking any opportunity to teach them something new. His teaching style, however kind it may be, prevents him from intervening in his student's learning process, which vexes him. There have been times where he goes against this principle, such as when his students are put at risk and almost banished to another world by the Outlander Warlocks.

Typically, he uses magic with a lantern which hosts his familiar. In his Golden Tree Archwarlock Rozatte card, he uses a golden tree-like staff. In VOLLYBAL MANZAI HERE, Rozatte uses a large mirror that is able to see across Pwurp Island, allowing him to keep an eye on his students.

History

Very little is known about Rozatte's past, and he keeps his private life separate from his teaching activities.

When Rozatte was younger, he made a "terrible mistake" which created The Outlands. In order to sever his connection to the Outlands, Rozatte sacrificed half of his memories and magical power. These sealed away memories and power created Outlander Rozatte. He remained unaware of his past actions until Outlander Rozatte forcefully restored his memories through the use of a Remembrance Elixir.

Trivia

Rozatte normally speaks formally in Japanese. During the heat of the moment of practical instruction or battle, his manner of speech becomes more emphatic.
- His Japanese alternative voice in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 uses very informal language.
