Salamander Undine Sylph Gnome Frau

The Spirits (精霊) are a series of 5 characters introduced in Puyo Puyo!! Quest. They are spirits who originate from the Fairy World (妖精の世界) and have ventured to Pwurp Island upon being summoned there. Together, they have the ability to control the conditions of nature on Pwurp Island, and the lack of their presence can cause the land to become barren and harsh. With the exception of Gnome, their speech is written in katakana, which is a common characteristic of non-human characters.[1] Apart from Frau, the other 4 members of the series are inspired by Paracelsus' concept of elementals. All 5 spirits are acquainted with one another and seem to consider each other friends.

They can become Great Spirits (大精霊) when their desires resonate with the power of nature, granting them newfound strength. This surge in power also causes certain changes in their physical form and personality. In the PreCure Splash Star collab story Deliver! A Song to Take Back the Greenery, a ritual from the Xiannu involving song and dance are shown to be able to cause the transformation into a Great Spirit.
