This article is about the
real-time PvP battle system. For the old battle system, see PPQ:Battle.
Everybody Battles (みんなとバトル) is the [deprecated]
real-time PvP battle system. The system is first made available in a Taster Version between July 27~31, 2016 and official released from September 14, 2016.
How to play
Battle Decks (バトルデッキ) are used for battles of Everybody Battles. A Battle Deck consists of 3 groups (グループ) each containing 3 cards. HP of the 3 cards in each group are shared in battle. Attack power of cards used in the second and third groups receives bonus of 20% and 50% respectively.
In battle, players trace-pop Puyos to set off chains in real-time. When a player's chain is finished while the opponent's chain is still progressing, he can trace-pop again to lump multiple chains worth of damage into one attack if time allows. Opposing attacks will neutralize (相殺) each other, and damage will only be landed on the player with the smaller attack power.
Certain cards have Battle Skills (バトルスキル) to be used during battles. Battle Skills will activate automatically when the designated number of same-color Puyos are cleared.
Items (アイテム) are occasionally dropped into the players' field. Clearing Puyos next to the items sets off the effect against the opponent.
Each battle has a 120-second time limit. The player with more HP by proportion of total HP of the whole deck remaining at the end of the battle wins (including knocking out all of the opponent's groups). HP increase effects from Leader and Battle Skills or Combination Bonus are not counted into the decision of victor. Note that it is possible for a player to win with less groups still standing than the opponent.
Note that PvP Battles require good internet connection across the whole duration. If a player loses connection, s/he is considered lost and the battle will terminate for him/her. On the opponent's end, a COM player will stand in for the rest of the battle.
| Garbage Bomb
|Transform 1 Puyo in the opponent's field into , which explodes into 5 in 5 seconds unless removed by clearing Puyos next to it|
| Puyo Shuffler
|Shuffles the colors of all Puyos in the opponent's field|
| 10-second Trace 2
|For 10 seconds, the opponent can only trace-pop 2 Puyos, even despite effects of trace capacity increasing Leader Skills|
Modes of battle
Not to be confused with Guild Battle events, which are also known as "Pwurp League".
League Battle (リーグ戦) is the ranked mode for the PvP Battle system. Battle opponents are matched within the same League as the player. Each week of League Battle starts at 15:00 on Wednesdays and ends at 23:59 on the following Tuesdays. Players receive League Points (リーグ戦, LP) from all victorious battles, and additional LP are rewarded for consecutively winning 3 battles.
All players begin at C League. By satisfying LP total or ranking conditions, players will be promoted (or demoted if currently in S League) to a higher League in the following week. The LP totals will be reset at the beginning of each week.
Within each League, players are also put into 3 Classes (クラス) based on the victory rate of their most recent battles. Other than the icon shown in front of the player name in player profiles, guild member list and support list, Classes currently do not affect PvP Battle gameplay or rewards.

Appointed Battle (まちあわせ) is the mode to play with friends you know for the PvP Battle system. The host (ホスト) creates a PvP Battle room and tells the opponent the room code to join. The host receives coin and user experience rewards for the first 3 battles per day, regardless of victory or defeat. Costing no Magic Points, a player can host as many Appointed Battles as they like.

The Battle Chest (バトル宝箱) gives rewards to players for actively participating in PvP battles. After each battle, a star is awarded for each group the player knocked out, regardless of victory or defeat. Gathering 5 stars allows the player to open the Battle Chest for one random set of rewards. Players in higher League can get better rewards. The Battle Chest resets in 6 hours after the previous opening.
Weekly Individual Rankings
Individual Rankings (個人ランキング) are maintained in each League between all players across each week, beginning at 15:00 on Wednesdays and ends on the following Tuesdays (tallied until 00:05 on Wednesday). Rewards are awarded to players who obtained the highest LP totals of each League in the week.
