FT Translations

Hi, I apologize if this comes off as harsh but you shouldn't be putting up translations if you are predominantly using Google Translate. If you have little knowledge of Japanese, it would be better to have someone who is proficient translate instead.

Apologies if this is the wrong way to format a reply, very new to html.

I do my research as I translate from Google, I look up what words mean, and I fix the grammar. It is not 100% pure translated from Google Translate. There is effort behind it, and there is research behind it. Nobody has translated the pages I have right now, and there is encouragement to replace what my translations say. It is a base effort, a slight image of what it says. Nobody said it was great. Nobody said it was bad. It is simply ametuer. I think it will help encourage better translators than me to translate. At best, it's better than we got now. At worst, it's simply slightly wrong.

It is known for wildly mistranslating things. I appreciate your contributions but it is not a reliable base.* especially since your translations are not proofread by someone who can read/write/etc. Japanese.

(To Hydrangea, from Beachedking) That's fine, I don't mind that at all! I know that Google Translate can wildly mistranslate things! That is why I research words! There is usually under the words that I copy/paste from the original sentence that shows how it's pronounced. Take this for an example: まちがいなし. まちがいなし cannot be translated with Google Translate, it gets confused and spits out how it's pronounced; Machigainashi. According to japandict.com, it means you are certain or doubtless, it's an expression. That is an example of how I research my translations. Google Translate was also made from sources, how did they put them in then if it's not a tiny bit accurate? I understand your concern and I take it into consideration, but it absolutely can be used as a base.

I know my translations are not proofread, I do not know anyone who knows such things. But the others on this wiki CAN. It states whenever you're editing " If you do not want your writing to be edited mercilessly, then do not submit it here." They can proofread and fix it. Like I said, it is better than nothing.
