Template:Cite web
DocumentationA template to facilitate the use of websites as citations. Based on a similar template from Fire Emblem Wiki with several tweaks and additions.
Has 11 parameters:
quote:Fill in if a specific quote from a website is needed to be cited.location:To display the location of a quote (i.e. the timestamp of the quote in a video).author:The author (if one is known) of the cited post or article.url:The URL of the cited webpage.archive url:The URL of an archived version of the webpage from the Wayback Machine. If bothurlandarchive urlare filled in,archive url:will take priority.title:The title (if one exists) of the cited post or article. Defaults to "[1]" if not filled.type:Use if the cited webpage is a specific type of media (i.e. a PDF document).site:Displays the URL of the site (not the cited webpage).published:Displays the date the webpage's contents were published (if one is known).archived:If an archived URL is used, this will show the date of the instance of the webpage.retrieved:Displays the date this template was used to retrieve the webpage as a citation.
